Narre Community Learning Centre - Professional Skills

NCLC is R.T.O (Registered Training Organisation) and the provision of Vocational Education and Training is one of our primary purposes. NCLC is commited to quality education and training for all students, and student safety and welfare. Our staff are fully qualified and we provide up to date resources and facilities. NCLC welcomes any feedback from clients and stakeholders and is committed to to continous improvement across the entire organisation.

Certificate III in Children’s Services (CHC30708)

This course is from the latest training package and is a minimum requirement for those wishing to enter the workforce in a Children’s Services position.  Successful completion of the course can provide credits for those wanting to study further and undertake the Diploma in Children’s Services.  As part of the course students are required to complete a practical placement component.  Course includes First Aid Level II.

Prior to commencing work placement students must have a current ‘Working with Children Check’ and a ‘Police Check’

Certificate III in Aged Care Work (CHC30208)

This course is the current minimum qualification for those seeking work in the aged care sector.  It covers many facets of working with low to medium care for the aged in hostels, nursing homes and home care environments.  As part of this course, participants are required to complete a practical placement component.

Additional requirements – participants must complete First Aid Level II prior to commencing work placement in Term 3.  Prior to commencing work placement students must have a current “Police Check”.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAA40104) 

This course is the minimum requirement for those wishing to train or assess in the Vocational education sector

$1330.00 - includes tuition and service fees (Tuition are to be paid in four (4) installments)

Basic Bookkeeping

This course is an introduction to bookkeeping and basic accounting concepts and serves as an excellent grounding for those wanting to use MYOB and Quickbooks. It covers the practical aspects of double entry accounting with a view to the essentail financial practices needed by any small to medium sized business. No previous experience is necessary.

This is a short course designed to develop the knowledge and skills required to provide basic life support measures in an emergency.

This course will give you the skills to provide basic first aid and manage the casualty(s) and the incident at work, home, sport or play.

Perform CPR (HLTCCPR201A) ##

CPR updates are recommended annually in some workplaces. All aspects of CPR will be covered and assessed.

Course in First Aid Management Anaphylaxis – Epi Pen (21659VIC) ##

This course is a must for parents, carers, school staff and individuals with a recognised life threatening allergic reaction to assist by giving adrenalin via a pre loaded injection device.
As a pre-requisite for this course you must hold a current CPR certificate.

First Aid Level II Apply First Aid Update (HLTFA301B) ##

Has your certificate nearly run out? This one day workshop is for renewing your certificate. It enables you to refresh your knowledge and demonstrate you have the required competencies. Please produce your previous certificate at the commencement of this course.
